Which guest bed is right for you?
The right guest bed depends on how often people stay and how much floor you can give up. A trundle guest bed takes the footprint of a single bed and sleeps two. A day bed is a sofa by day and a bed by night. A sofa bed suits a living room, but the mattress is usually thinner.

Our own guest bed and trundle is hand-built to order in Yorkshire and arrives fully assembled. It costs £995 with both mattresses included.

How much space does a trundle bed need?
Closed, a trundle guest bed needs the same floor as a single bed. With the trundle out, allow around 190cm of width and a clear run in front of the bed so it can roll out. Our guide on how much space a trundle bed needs covers box rooms and awkward layouts.
Guest bed mattresses
Most day beds and guest bed frames take a UK standard single mattress (90 x 190cm). Trundles often need a shallower mattress so they slide under the main bed, so check the maximum depth on the product page. The Any Bed guest bed includes two matching full-depth mattresses, so the second bed is not a compromise.
Christmas delivery
Order by 30 November for guaranteed delivery before Christmas. The Any Bed guest bed takes 2 to 3 weeks because it is built to order. Other guest beds and day beds usually arrive in 1 to 2 weeks. Delivery is free to England, Wales and most of Scotland.
