Which tog do you need?

Tog measures warmth: the higher the number, the warmer the duvet. Every duvet comes in four togs.

  • 4.5 tog: summer, warm bedrooms and people who run hot.
  • 9 tog: spring and autumn, or a well-heated bedroom.
  • 10.5 tog: the all-year choice for most British bedrooms.
  • 13.5 tog: winter, cold rooms and anyone who is always cold.

Every duvet is baffle-box stitched, so the filling stays evenly spread with no cold spots. Feather adds weight and drape. Down is lighter for the same warmth, and the higher the fill power, the lighter and loftier it gets. Read what is fill power for more.

  • Single: 135 x 200cm
  • Double: 200 x 200cm
  • King: 225 x 220cm
  • Super King: 260 x 220cm
  • Emperor: 290 x 235cm

Many couples go one size up from the bed, so there is enough duvet to go round. An Emperor suits a super king bed when you want a generous overhang.
