Start with our own range
The Any Bed upholstered range is our own brand, made to order in the UK. There are 14 headboard designs, from the wide, channelled Amberley to the Versaille. Each one comes as a bed frame on solid slats, or as a gas lift ottoman storage bed with a slatted or divan style base. All 14 colours, in Plush Velvet and Naples fabrics, cost the same, and frames start from £219. If you are unsure about a colour, fabric samples are £1 each from our fabric samples page.
Which type of bed suits you?
- Upholstered fabric beds: a soft headboard to sit up against, in velvet, boucle, chenille or linen-look fabrics. See fabric and upholstered beds.
- Ottoman and storage beds: the whole base lifts on gas struts, or opens with drawers or doors. The best answer to a small room. See ottoman and storage beds.
- Wooden beds: oak and oak effect, solid pine, painted and high gloss finishes, including bookcase and rattan styles. See wooden beds.
- Metal beds: slim frames in black, white, chrome and brass effect. Good for smaller rooms because they look light.

- Guest, trundle and sofa beds: somewhere proper for visitors to sleep.
UK bed sizes
Bed sizes refer to the mattress, not the frame. The frame is always a little larger, and a big headboard or high foot end adds more.

A few contemporary frames are made to European sizes, such as 140 x 200cm, so check the mattress size on the product page before you order a mattress separately.
Before you order
Measure the room with the bed in place and leave around 60cm to walk round it. Ottoman beds need clear space at the foot or side for the lid to lift. Check stairs and doorways too, especially for large headboards. The product page gives the size of each frame and how it arrives.
