Our radiator covers

We currently sell the Longslow radiator cover in four sizes and two finishes. Every combination is available:

  • Sizes: small, medium, large and extra large.
  • Finishes: grey and oak, or white and oak.

A radiator cover hides a plain radiator and turns the top into a usable shelf for post, keys, a plant or photos. It also gives a hallway a more finished look, and the white and oak and grey and oak finishes sit well beside many of our hallway and living room pieces.

How to measure for a radiator cover

Getting the size right is the whole job, so measure before you choose:

  1. Measure the full width of the radiator, including the valves and pipes at each end.
  2. Measure the height from the floor to the top of the radiator, including any brackets.
  3. Measure the depth from the wall to the front of the radiator, including the valves.
  4. Compare these with the dimensions on the product page for each size. The cover needs to be larger than the radiator in all three directions.

Also check for skirting boards. A cover has to sit over or around them, and a deep skirting can push the cover forward.

Things to know before you buy

Any cover sits between the radiator and the room, so expect some heat to be held back. Leave the front grille clear and avoid stacking things against it. If your radiator has a thermostatic valve, make sure you can still reach it, or set it before the cover goes on.

A radiator cover is one of the simplest ways to make a hallway look finished, because the radiator is often the first thing you see when the front door opens. Pair it with shoe storage, a coat stand or wall shelf or a mirror to finish the hallway.
