About this one

How it feels

This is Hungarian goose down graded for the very largest clusters. At 800+ fill power the duvet gives the most warmth for the least weight in the range. You feel warm, not weighed down.

Baffle-box construction lets the down rise to full height, in a 300 thread count cotton cover with white sateen piping.

Who it suits

Anyone who wants the very top of the range, and people who feel the cold but hate a heavy duvet.

Made to order in Fife, Scotland

Your duvet is filled by hand when you order it, at a family-run factory in Glenrothes that has made bedding for some of the finest hotels in the UK and abroad since 1990.

Nothing is made in advance and left in a warehouse. That is better for hygiene, it means your duvet arrives at full loft rather than flattened from months in storage, and it is why delivery takes 1 to 2 weeks.

Clean, traceable filling

The filling is a by-product of the food industry, sourced in Europe. It is washed several times and steam-dried at over 100°C for more than 30 minutes to meet the EN 12935 hygiene standard (Downafresh® certified). The factory is a member of the European Down and Feather Association, which means a documented traceability system for the filling and a code of conduct on animal welfare.

Questions people ask

800+ or 750 fill power?
Both are pure Hungarian goose down. The 800+ has larger clusters, so it is lighter and loftier at the same tog.
Which tog should I choose?
10.5 tog suits most British bedrooms all year. Choose 13.5 if your room is cold or you feel the cold, 9 for a warm room, and 4.5 for summer or if you sleep hot. Natural down breathes well, so it feels less stuffy than a synthetic duvet at the same tog.
Can I save on pillows with a duvet?
Yes. Buy any duvet and save £15 on each pillow or pillow pair, up to two. The saving is taken at checkout.
Feather and down, or pure down?
Feather adds weight and body, so a feather and down duvet drapes and feels substantial. Down is lighter for the same warmth, and the higher the fill power, the lighter and loftier it gets.
How do I look after it?
Shake it out every morning and air it now and then. Use a duvet cover always. It can be washed at 40°C if your machine is big enough, but professional cleaning is the safer choice, and dry cleaning is possible too.
Why does delivery take 1 to 2 weeks?
Because it is filled to order in Fife rather than taken off a warehouse shelf.
Who makes it?
It is made for us in Glenrothes, Fife, by dùsal, a family-run British manufacturer that has made pillows, duvets and toppers for hotels since 1990 and is the only Downafresh® accredited manufacturer in the UK.
How long does delivery take?
Free delivery to England, Wales and most of Scotland, usually in 1 to 2 weeks. We will be in touch to arrange the day.
Can I return it?
Yes. Tell us within 14 days of delivery and you then have a further 14 days to send it back. The full details are in our returns policy.
